ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ 1 , ਸਾਧਾਰਨ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਯੋਗ ਤੋਂ ਕੀ ਭਾਵ ਹੈ ? 
ਉੱਤਰ - ਸਾਧਾਰਨ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਯੋਗ ਤੋਂ ਭਾਵ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਮੇਲ ਤੋਂ ਹੈ । 

ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ 2 , ਯੋਗ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਕਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ । ਰਸਤਾ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ । 
ਉੱਤਰ - ਯੋਗ ਉਹ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਣ ਦਾ ਰਸਤਾ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ 

ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ 3 , ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮਚਰਣ ਨੇ ਯੋਗ ਦੀ ਕਿਹੜੀ ਪਰਿਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ? 
ਉੱਤਰ - ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮਚਰਣ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਯੋਗ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦੇ ਤਨ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਹਤਮੰਦ , ਮਨ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਾਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਚੈਨ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ । 

ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ 4. ਯੋਗ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਕੋਈ ਇਕ ਭਾਮਕ ਧਾਰਨਾ ਦਸੋ ? 
ਉੱਤਰ - ਯੋਗ ਕੇਵਲ ਹਿੰਦੂਆ ਲਈ ਹੈ । ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਧਾਰਨਾ ਗਲਤ ਹੈ । ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਯੋਗ ਕਿਸੇ ਧਰਮ ਦਾ ਅਨੁਯਾਈ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ । 

ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ 5. ਯੋਗ ਕੇਵਲ ਪੁਰਸ਼ਾਂ ਲਈ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਧਾਰਨਾ ਸਹੀ ਹੈ ? 
ਉੱਤਰ - ਨਹੀਂ , ਇਹ ਧਾਰਨਾ ਸਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਯੋਗ ਤਾਂ ਪੁਰਸ਼ਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਲਈ ਹੈ । 

ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ 6. ਕੀ ਯੋਗ ਕੇਵਲ ਰੋਗੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਹੈ ? 
ਉੱਤਰ - ਨਹੀਂ , ਯੋਗ ਰੋਗੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ । 

ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ 7 , ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਪਤੰਜਲੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਆਸਣ ਦਾ ਕੀ ਅਰਥ ਹੈ ? 
ਉੱਤਰ - ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਪਤੰਜਲੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਆਸਣ ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦੀ ਉਸ ਸਥਿਤ ਤੋਂ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਅਧਿਕ ਤੋਂ ਅਧਿਕ ਸਮੇਂ ਆਸਾਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਬੈਠ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ । 

ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ 8. ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਕੋਈ ਦੋ ਆਸਣ ਦੱਸੋ । 
ਉੱਤਰ - ਚੱਕਰ ਆਸਣ , ਹਲਾਸਨ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਆਸਣ ਹਨ 

ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ 9 , ਸਾਧਨਾ ਦੇ ਆਸਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਕੀ ਲਾਭ ਹੈ ? 
ਉੱਤਰ - ਇਹਨਾਂ ਆਸਣਾ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਨਸਿਕ ਇਕਾਗਰਤਾ ਵਿੱ ਵਾਧਾ ਅਤੇ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਤੇਜ਼ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ।

ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ 1. ਯੋਗ ਤੋਂ ਕੀ ਭਾਵ ਹੈ ? ਵਿਭਿੰਨ ਵਿਦਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਯੋਗ ਦੀਆਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਪਰਿਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਦਿਓ । 
ਉੱਤਰ - ਮਹਾਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਪੰਤਜਲੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ - ਮਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਰਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣਾ ਜਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੰਟ੍ਰੋਲ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੀ ਯੋਗ ਹੈ । ਡਾ . ਰਾਧਾ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਣ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ - ਯੋਗ ਉਹ ਮਾਰਗ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਧਕਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਵੱਲ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ । 
ਸ੍ਰੀਰਾਮ ਚਰਣ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ - ਯੋਗ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦੇ ਤਣ ਨੂੰ ਤੰਦਰੁਸਤ , ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਅਤੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਚੈਨ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ।

 ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ 2. ਯੋਗ ਇਕ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਧਰਮ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਹੈ ? ਇਸ ਧਾਰਨਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਲਿਖੋ । 
ਉੱਤਰ - ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਯੋਗ ਦਾ ਆਰੰਭ ਪ੍ਰਾਚੀਨ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਮੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤੇ ਲੋਕ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਿੰਦੂ ਧਰਮ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਹਨ । ਉਹਨਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਯੋਗ ਕੇਵਲ ਹਿੰਦੂਆਂ ਲਈ ਹੀ ਹੈ । ਇਹ ਧਾਰਨਾ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਗ਼ਲਤ ਹੈ । ਯੋਗ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਧਰਮ ਦਾ ਅਨੁਯਾਈ ਅਪਨਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਯੋਗ ਤਾਂ ਇਕ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਰੀਰਿਕ ਕਸਰਤ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਧਰਮ ਨਾਲ ਕੋਈ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ । 

ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ 3. ਯੋਗ ਕੇਵਲ ਪੁਰਸ਼ਾਂ ਲਈ ਹੈ । ਇਸ ਧਾਰਨਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਲਿਖੋ । 
ਉੱਤਰ - ਕੁੱਝ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਨੁਮਾਨ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਯੋਗ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਨਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਯੋਗ ਕੇਵਲ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਹੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ । ਇਹ ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ । ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੱਚਾਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਯੋਗ ਲਈ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਨਿਯਮ ਹਨ । ਯੋਗ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਲਾਭਦਾਇਕ ਹੈ ਜਿੰਨਾਂ ਪੁਰਸ਼ਾਂ ਲਈ । ਲਿਖੋ । 

ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ 4. ਯੋਗ ਕੇਵਲ ਸਨਿਆਸੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਹੈ । ਇਸ ਧਾਰਨਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਲਿਖੋ 
ਉੱਤਰ - ਪ੍ਰਾਚੀਨ ਕਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਮੁਨੀ ਜੰਗਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਯੋਗ ਆਸਣ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ । ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਕੁੱਝ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਇਹ ਧਾਰਨਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਯੋਗ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਘਰ ਛੱਡਣਾ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹਿਸਥੀ ਲਈ ਯੋਗ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਨਹੀਂ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਗਲਤ ਹੈ । ਸੱਚ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਯੋਗ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਵੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ।

ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ 5 , ਆਸਣ ( Asanas ) ਤੋਂ ਕੀ ਭਾਵ ਹੈ ? ਆਸਣ ਕਿੰਨੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਹਨ ? 
ਉੱਤਰ - ਆਸਣ - ਆਸਣ ਇਕ ਪੁਰਾਣਾ ਯੋਗਿਕ ਅਭਿਆਸ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਾਯਾਮ , ਧਿਆਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਧੀ ਦਰਆਸਾਰ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ।ਆਸਣ ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਬੈਠਣ ਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਹੈ । ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਪਤੰਜ਼ਲੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਆਸਣ ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦੀ ਉਸ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਹੈ । ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਤੋਂ ਜਿਆਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਆਸਾਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਬੈਠ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ । ਆਸਣ ਭਿਨ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ
 ( 1 ) ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਆਸਣ 
( 2 ) ਧਿਆਨ ( ਸਾਧਨਾ ) ਲਈ ਆਸਣ 
( ੩ ) ਆਰਾਮ ਲਈ ਆਸਣ । 

ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ 6 . ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਜਬੂਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਆਸਣ ਤੋਂ ਕੀ ਭਾਵ ਹੈ ? ਉਦਾਹਰਨਾਂ ਦਿਓ । 
ਉੱਤਰ - ਜਿਹੜੇ ਆਸਣ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਜਬੂਤ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਆਸਣ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ । ਇਹ ਆਸਣ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਜਬੂਤ , ਲਚਕੀਲਾ , ਫੁਰਤੀਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਬਣਾਉਦੇ ਹਨ । ਉਦਾਹਰਨ - ਚੱਕਰ ਆਸਣ , ਹਲਾਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਭੁਝੰਗ ਆਸਣ | 

ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ 7. ਧਿਆਨ ਸਾਧਨਾ ) ਲਈ ਆਸਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਕੀ ਭਾਵ ਹੈ ? ਉਦਾਹਰਨਾ ਦਿਓ । 
ਉੱਤਰ - ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਸਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਧਿਆਨ ਜਾਂ ਸਮਾਧੀ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਧਿਆਨ ਜਾ ਸਾਧਨਾ ਲਈ ਆਸਣ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ । ਇਹਨਾਂ ਆਸਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੰਬੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੱਕ ਬੈਠ ਕੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਕੇਂਦਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ।ਇਹਨਾਂ ਆਸਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਨਸਿਕ ਇਕਾਗਰਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਧਾ ਅਤੇ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਤੇਜ਼ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ । ਉਦਾਹਰਨ - ਪਦਮਾਸਣ ਅਤੇ ਬਜਰਾਸ਼ਨ । 

ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ 8. ਅਰਾਮ ਲਈ ਆਸਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਕੀ ਭਾਵ ਹੈ ? ਉਦਾਹਰਨ ਦਿਓ ? 
ਉੱਤਰ - ਆਰਾਮ ਲਈ ਆਸਣ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਰਾਮ ਦੇਣ ਜਾਂ ਥਕਾਵਟ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ । ਇਹ ਆਸਣ ਲੇਟ ਕੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ । ਇਹਨਾਂ ਆਸਣਾ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਰਾਮ ਦੇਣਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ । ਇਹ ਆਸਣ ਸਰੀਰਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਨਸਿਕ ਥਕਾਵਟ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਤਰੋਤਾਜ਼ਾ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ । ਉਦਾਹਰਨ - ਸਵਾਆਸਣ ਅਤੇ ਮਕਰਾਸਨ 

ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ 9. ਆਸਣ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਕੋਈ ਦੇ ਸਿਧਾਂਤ ਦਸੋ ? 
ਉੱਤਰ -1 ) ਆਸਣ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਜਗਾ ਸਾਫ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਹੋਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ।ਸਵੇਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਆਸਣ ਕਰਨਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਚੰਗਾ ਮੰਨੀਆਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ । 
 2 ) ਆਸਾਨ ਖਾਲੀ ਪੇਟ ਕਰਨੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਾਂ ਭੋਜਨ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਚਾਰ ਘੰਟੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਕਰਨੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ ।

ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ 10. “ ਯੋਗ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇੱਕ ਇਲਾਜ ਦੀ ਵਿਧੀ ਹੈ ( Yoga is only a method of treatment ) ਇਸ ਧਾਰਨਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਦੱਸੋ ।

ਉੱਤਰ - ਆਸਣ ਦੇ ਸਿਧਾਂਤ ( Principle of Asanas ) - ਆਸਣ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਸਿਧਾਂਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਾਲਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ । ਇਹਨਾਂ ਸਿਧਾਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਲਨ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਸਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਪੂਰਾ ਲਾਭ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ । ਆਸਣ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕੁਝ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਸਿਧਾਂਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ ।
         1. ਆਸਣ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਮਾਸਪੇਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਣਾਓ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਣਾ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ।ਮਾਸਪੇਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਣਾਓ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਣ ਨਾਲ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਚਕ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ । ਜੇਕਰ ਆਸਣ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਮਾਸਪੇਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਚਕ ਪੈਦਾ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਆਸਣ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਲਾਭ ਨਹੀਂ । 
        2. ਆਸਣ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਉਮਰ ਅਤੇ ਲਿੰਗ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ । ਬੱਚਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਔਖੇ ਆਸਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਦਾ ਵਾਧਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਹੋਵੇ । ਕੁੜੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਯੂਰਾਨ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮਯੁਸਨ ਨਾਲ ਪੇਟ ਤੇ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਦਬਾਓ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੈ । 
        ( 3 ) ਆਸਣ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਗਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ । ਆਸਣ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਰੀਰ ਸਥਿਰ , ਸਹਿਜ ਅਤੇ ਆਰਾਮਦਾਇਕ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ । 
        ( 4 ) ਆਸਣ ਦਾ ਅਭਿਆਸ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਹੌਲੀ - ਹੌਲੀ ਮੋੜਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ । ਆਸਣ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਇਕ ਦਮ ਝਟਕਾ ਦੇਣਾ ਠੀਕ ਨਹੀਂ । 
        ( 5 ) ਆਸਣ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਸਿਧਾਂਤ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕਰਨੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ । ਪਹਿਲੇ ਅਸਾਨ ਆਸਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਭਿਆਸ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ । ਫਿਰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਔਖੇ ਆਸਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ । 
        ( 6 ) ਦਿਲ ਦੇ ਰੋਗਾਂ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਔਖੇ ਆਸਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ । 
        ( 7 ) ਆਸਣ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਸਾਫ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ । ਸਵੇਰ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਆਸਣ ਲਈ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਤਮ ਹੈ ।         ( 8 ) ਆਸਣ ਅਕਸਰ ਖਾਲੀ ਪੇਟ ਕਰਨੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਖਾਣਾ ਖਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਚਾਰ ਘੰਟੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਕਰਨੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ । 

ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ 2. ਯੋਗ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਕਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਗਲਤ ਧਾਰਨਾਵਾਂ ਹਨ ? ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਰਚਾ ਕਰੋ । 
ਉੱਤਰ - ਯੋਗ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਗਲਤ ਧਾਰਨਾਵਾਂ - ਅੱਜ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਯੋਗ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ । ਪਰ ਫਿਰ ਵੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਯੋਗ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਕਈ ਗਲਤ ਧਾਰਨਾਵਾਂ ਹਨ ਜਿਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਲੋਕ ਯੋਗ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ।
        1. ਕੀ ਯੋਗ ਇਕ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਧਰਮ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਹੈ ( The Yoga is related to a 59 ਯੋਗ particular sect ਯੋਗ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਚੀਨ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਮੁੰਨੀਆਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਿੰਦੂ ਧਰਮ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਹਨ । ਉਹਨਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਯੋਗ ਕੇਵਲ ਹਿੰਦੁਆਂ ਲਈ ਹੀ ਹੈ । ਇਹ ਧਾਰਨਾ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਗਲਤ ਹੈ । ਯੋਗ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਧਰਮ ਦਾ ਅਨੁਯਾਈ ਅਪਣਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਯੋਗ ਤਾਂ ਇਕ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਰੀਰਿਕ ਕਸਰਤ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਧਰਮ ਨਾਲ ਕੋਈ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ । 
        2. ਕੀ ਯੋਗ ਕੇਵਲ ਪੁਰਸ਼ਾਂ ਲਈ ਹੈ ( That Yoga is meant for men ) - ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਨੁਮਾਨ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਯੋਗ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਨਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਯੋਗਾਂ ਕੇਵਲ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਹੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ।ਇਹ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੱਚ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਯੋਗ ਲਈ ਕੋਈ ਸਖਤ ਨਿਯਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।ਯੋਗ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਉਨਾਂ ਹੀ ਲਾਭਦਾਇਕ ਹੈ ਜਿਨਾਂ ਪੁਰਸ਼ਾ ਲਈ । 
        ( 3 ) ਕੀ ਯੋਗ ਕੇਵਲ ਰੋਗੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਹੈ ( That Yoga is only for the sick people ) -- ਯੋਗ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਕਈ ਰੋਗਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਲਾਜ ਸੰਭੰਵ ਹੈ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਈ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਧਾਰਨਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਯੋਗ ਕੇਵਲ ਇਲਾਜ ਦੀ ਵਿਧੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕੇਵਲ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਕਿਸ ਨਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਰੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਪੀੜਿਤ ਹਨ । ਪਰ ਇਹ ਧਾਰਨਾ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਗਲਤ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਸਹਿਤਮੰਦ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਯੋਗ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਗਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ । 
        4. ਕੀ ਯੋਗ ਕੇਵਲ ਸਨਿਆਸੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਹੈ ( The Yoga is meant for hermits only ) - ਪ੍ਰਾਚੀਨ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਿਸ਼ੀਮੁਨੀ ਜੰਗਲਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਯੋਗ ਸਾਧਨਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਇਹ ਧਾਰਨਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਯੋਗ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਘਰ ਦਾ ਤਿਆਗ ਕਰਨਾ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਕ ਹਿਸਥੀ ਲਈ ਯੋਗ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਗਲਤ ਹੈ । ਸਚ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਯੋਗ ਘਰ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਵੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ।

ਉੱਤਰ - ਆਸ਼ਣ ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦੀ ਉਸ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਸਮਾਂ ਆਸਾਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਬੈਠ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ । ਆਸਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ( Types ofAsanas ) - ਆਸਣ ਤਿੰਨ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ 
        1. ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਜਬੂਤ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਆਸਣ ( Cultural Asana ) - ਜਿਹੜੇ ਆਸਣ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਜਬੂਤ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਆਸਣ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ । ਇਹ ਆਸਣ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਜਬੂਤ , ਲਚਕੀਲਾ , ਫੁਰਤੀਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਬਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ । ਜੇਕਰ ਸਾਡਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਮਜਬੂਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਸਰੀਰਿਕ ਕਿਰਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ । ਉਦਾਹਰਨ - ਚੱਕਰ ਆਸਣ , ਹਲਾਸਣ ਅਤੇ ਭੁਝੰਗ ਆਸਣ । 
        ( 2 ) ਸਾਧਨ ਜਾਂ ਧਿਆਨ ਲਈ ਆਸਣ ( Meditative Asana- ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਸਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਯੋਗ ਧਿਆਨ ਸਮਾਧੀ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ । ਇਹਨਾਂ ਆਸਣਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰੀਰ ਉਸ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੰਬੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੱਕ ਬੈਠ ਕੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਕੇਂਦਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ । ਇਹਨਾਂ ਆਸਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਨਸਿਕ ਇਕਾਗਰਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਧਾ ਅਤੇ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਤੇਜ਼ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ । ਉਦਾਹਰਨ - ਪੱਦਮਾਸਣ ਅਤੇ ਬਜਰਾਸਨ । 
        ( 3 ) ਆਰਾਮ ਲਈ ਆਸਣ ( Relaxative Asana ) - ਇਹ ਆਸਣ ਲੇਟ ਕੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ । ਇਹਨਾਂ ਆਸਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਰਾਮ ਦੇਣਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ । ਇਹ ਆਸਣ ਸਰੀਰਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਨਸਿਕ ਥਕਾਵਟ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਤਰੋ ਤਾਜ਼ਾ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸੂਵ ਆਸਣ ਅਤੇ ਮਕਰਾਸਣ ॥

Answer - Principles of Asanas - It is very important for the person doing Asanas to follow certain principles. By following these principles we can get the full benefit of Asanas. It is important to remember some key principles for doing asanas.
         1. It is important to create tension in the muscles while doing asanas. Tension in the muscles creates flexibility in the body. There is no benefit in doing asanas if there is no flexibility in the muscles while doing asanas.
        2. It is very important to take care of age and gender to do asanas. Children should not do too many difficult asanas that will affect the growth of their body. Girls should not do more peacocks as they put more pressure on the abdomen.
        (3) Do not put too much pressure while doing asanas. The body should be in a stable, relaxed and comfortable position while doing asanas.
        (4) The body should bend slowly while practicing asanas. It is not advisable to give a jolt while doing asanas.
        (5) should be done in accordance with the principle of Asan Prati. The first easy asanas should be practiced. Then after that difficult asanas should be done.
        (6) For heart diseases and pregnant women should not do difficult asanas.
        (7) The seat should be clean and quiet. Morning is the best time to sit. (8) Asanas should often be done on an empty stomach and four hours after eating.
